Glossoptera
Permian
Australia

Glossoptera leaves are found not only in Australia, but in India, Antartica, and New Guinea, supporting the view that these lands once composed a single super continent. This super continent, Gondwana began to break up ninety million years ago. Interestingly, though many leaves have been found, the wood of the tree itself has yet to be identified.
